Abstract

1339942 Water heater JUNKERS & CO GmbH 19 May 1971 [25 June 1970] 15755/71 Heading F4A A gas fired water heater comprises a burner 10, and a combustion chamber 11 having a lamellar block 12 at one end thereof, the block having a serpentine pipe 121 for water passing therethrough, the surfaces of the block contacting the combustion gases being coated with aluminium by flame spraying in the direction in which the combustion gases flow. The aluminium may be thicker on the surfaces 122 of the block adjacent the pipe and further the coating may be thicker on the surfaces of the block adjacent the burner than on those remote therefrom. The wall portions of the combustion chamber may also be protectively coated.
