Abstract
1338688 Electro-deposition of nickel and nickel-cobalt alloys UDYLITE CORP 2 Nov 1971 [11 Dec 1970] 50916/71 Heading C7B A plating bath for the deposition of semibright, ductile nickel or nickel-cobalt alloy containing >80 per cent nickel contains a coumarin compound, a propylene oxide adduct of propargyl alcohol of the formula HC # C-CH 2 (OC 3 H 6 ) n OH in which n = 1-3, and optionally butyne diol. The nickel and cobalt may be present as the sulphate, chloride, formate, sulphamate or fluoborate. Air apitation or apitation of the cathode may be used.
