Abstract
1337524 Disconnectible pipe couplings; valves N V PETROVA 2 June 1972 25826/72 Headings F2G and F2V A disconnectible pipe coupling 1 for pressurizing the shock-absorbers &c. of aircraft &c. comprises a tapered valve member 5 engaged with a valve seat 3 by the bias of a spring 7 and carrying a frusto-conical sealing ring 11 having its larger diameter end abutting the valve member while its smaller, remote end is made relatively rigid, e.g. by a metal washer 13 vulcanized in place. The tapped end 16 of the coupling is screwed into the shock-absorber &c. On removing an end cap 18 and attaching a pressure pipe (not shown), the valve member 5 is moved away from its seat 3, allowing fluid under pressure to pass through a port 19 to the shockabsorber &c.
