Abstract

1335073 Feeding liquid concrete W SALTENBERGER 28 May 1971 [3 June 1970 23 Nov 1970 26 March 1971 2 April 1971] 17863/71 Heading A4T [Also in Division B8] A rotary tower crane provided with means for feeding liquid concrete comprises an upright pillar 3, rotatable about a vertical axis, to the top of which is pivoted a jib 6, and having a concrete feed pipe 9 secured to and extending up from the base of the pillar,and, beyond an articulation 18 adjacent the pillar having a portion extending in the general direction of and supported by, the jib, e.g. from load rope 8 on jib trolley 26, and leading to an outlet 15. The portion, as shown, is also articulated at 19 and 33 to provide one part pivotally adjustable by the load rope and trolley and the outer part pivotally adjustable by a winch 35. The part between articulations 18, 19 is pivotally adjustable by strut 30 moving at 31 on a control spindle 32 on the pillar. The pillar is mounted on a rotary platform 4 on a tracked or wheeled vehicle 2 and provided with counter weights 29 and concrete pump 27. The jib extending portion may comprise a pipe supported on top of the jib and with further articulations permitting manipulation of the outlet, in which case the pipe is articulated co-linearly with the jib pivot. Various modifications are described and shown.
