Abstract

1320942 Water extraction apparatus STEIN ER CO LAUSANNE SA 17 Nov 1970 [25 Nov 1969] 54687/70 Heading D1A Towelling or other laundry articles 675c pass downwards between a driven feed roller 1005 and a freely rotatable cylinder 9.30 round on the cylinder 930 and upwards for water extraction between the cylinder 930 and a driven pressing roll 960 which is in horizontal alignment with and urged towards the cylinder 930 by hydraulic or other motor means 997. As shown ten co-axial cylinders 930 are provided on an axle 931 for parallel lengths of towelling and the feed rollers 1005 and resilient pressing rolls 960 are alternately provided on each side of the axle 931. Doctor blades 1008 displace the towelling from the cyinders 930 above the nips, the treated towelling 675d passing downwards from the rollers 960. (For Figure see next column)
