Abstract

Adjstment is of the roll gap in four high rolling mill having two support and two working rolls, the support roll bearing being hydraulically counter loaded relative to each other by means of two horizontal shafts with a cam profile which engage blocks set into the support roll braring blocks on either side near the working rolls. A simple turning motion of each shaft will result in a change in the roll gap.
