Abstract

1313737 Continuous casting KLOCKNERWERKE AG 16 July 1970 [9 Sept 1969 28 April 1970] 52208/70 Divided out of 1313736 Heading B3F [Also in Division F4] In a tundish (V) of trough form, a chamber (2) contains a layer of slag which reacts chemically with alumina inclusions to remove them from aluminium-killed steel (1) which flows through the chamber before passing to at least one outlet nozzle (6). The apparatus is described in the parent Specification 1,313,736 for use in a process of continuously casting the steel.
