Abstract
1308006 Change-speed gear MSSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 21 April 1970 [30 April 1969] 29255/72 Divided out of 1308001 Heading F2D Three reduced ratios, direct-drive and one reverse, are provided by three sun-ring-planet trains 12, 13, 14, identical or not, interconnected as shown, output 11 issuing from C3, R2, input 10 being applied constantly to S1 and through a first clutch K1 to R1 for direct-drive and reverse, and through a second clutch K2 to R3 for all forward ratios, brakes B1, B2, B3 providing respectively second, third and first or reverse ratios. In Fig. 1b (not shown), trains 13, 14 are transposed in position. Ratios are specified and a graphical solution shown. Input and output shafts 10, 11 may be transposed.
