Abstract

1399667 Gas filter valves R J FLEBU 2 Mardh 1973 [7 March 1972] 10321/73 Heading BIT [Also in Division F2] Apparatus for reverse flow clearing gas filter tubes 1 comprises two disc valves 5 and 8, of which 8 is open whilst filtering. For cleaning, valve 8 is closed by compressed air piston operating in cylinder 10, spring 7 is thereby compressed and valve 5 (through which piston rod 11 slides) is forced upwards by tubular member 14 and then suddenly' fully opened 'by compressed spring 7 whereby reverse flow gas passes to filter tubes 1 from. air duct 4 in a shock-like manner.
