Abstract

1424169 Valves O TUCHENHAGEN 10 April 1974 15932/74 Heading F2V A valve comprising a common seat 4 and two closure members 5, 6 defining a leakage collecting chamber 7 therebetween includes a hollow spindle 9 through which the collected fluid flows to the valve exterior and a tube 15 within spindle 9 for the supply of cleaning fluid 17 to chamber 7. In the closed position of the valve, surfaces 5a, 6a on the closure members are spaced apart but are moved into sealing engagement by an actuator attached to spindle 10 when valve opening or cleaning is required.
