Abstract

1390291 Valves K O ARISLAND 19 Jan 1973 [21 Jan 1972] 2941/73 Heading F2V In a valve for liquid or gas, respective flows through ports 12<SP>1</SP>, 12<SP>11</SP> are controlled by valve heads 3a, 3b connected to a common spindle 5 carrying one or a pair of pistons 6a, 6b. A plate 7 mounted on the spindle is engaged by biasing springs 9a, 9b seated against fixed abutments 8a, 8b. The valve system 3, 5, 6, 7 is moved by the pressures of the respective flows into an equilibrium position to thereby control the proportioning of the flows through the respective ports 12<SP>1</SP>, 12<SP>11</SP>. One or both springs 9a, 9b may be omitted. The valve may also have mechanical opening and closing means.
