Abstract

1387542 Imaging printing plates xerographically FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 12 June 1973 [15 June 1972 16 June 1972] 28006/73 Heading G2H [Also in Division B6] A printing plate blank, with a surface layer comprising a silicone rubber and a resin/and or an inorganic solid, is imaged by transfer of a toner image from an electro-photographic photosensitive surface and heat fixing of the toner image. Preferably transfer is carried out by application of a charge to the back of the blank, or by a hot pressure roller which forces the blank against the photo-sensitive surface. After transfer, the image may be fixed by an infra-red lamp or an electric heater.
