Abstract
1403218 Electro-photography BELL & HOWELL CO 5 Dec 1972 [6 Jan 1972] 56058/72 Heading G2H A web or endless belt 120 of insulating material is placed over the surface of a charged photo-conductive member 116, on to which a light image is projected to form an electrostatic latent image, and then receives developer before removal from the photo-conductive member and transfer of the developed image to a support. Preferably the member 116 is a drum, and a developed image is formed on the belt 120 at each revolution. A filter strip 133 may be used to make separation images on the drum, and a plurality of developing units 140, 143, 144, 146 may be used to develop each image with its corresponding colour of toner. Each revolution of the drum results in the formation of four developed separation images on the belt, and they are transferred in succession to a copy sheet 154 which is rotated on an impression cylinder 156 within a curved heater 176 to fix the toner.
