Abstract

1385601 Feeding sheets HEIDELBERGER DRUCKMASCHINEN AG 12 April 1973 [26 April 1972] 17586/73 Heading B8R A sheet is raised from a pile 3 by vertically reciprocable suckers 4, so as to be brought into engagement with suckers 5 which move it laterally into the nip of feed rollers, while the suckers 4 move laterally in unison with the suckers 5 during the first part of the feeding stroke of the latter. After the sheet is raised, a foot 30 moves on to the pile and air is blown horizontally through nozzles 31 in the foot below the separated sheet to support the latter on a cushion of air until it reaches the rollers.
