Abstract

1376584 Frying vessels NAGATANIEN HONPO CO Ltd 22 May 1973 [26 May 1972] 24235/73 Heading A4A The lid of a frying vessel is provided with a pour hole 15 and funnel 16 near one of its outer edges. Water can be introduced through the hole to the pan containing hot fat without danger to the cook, thus providing for steam cooking of viands (eg Chinese dumplings) 18 which have been pre-fried in the pan. The lid 13 is provided with a stepped projection to fit a recess 11 in the pan 12 to prevent its lateral movement. A vent hole 17 in the lid may be provided. The funnel 16 acts as a handle for the lid and the flange 12 provides a grip for the pan.
