Abstract

1368002 Amphibious vehicles DR ING hcF PORSCHE AG 16 May 1972 [17 July 1971] 22892/72 Headings B7A and B7V An amphibious vehicle body 1 has auxiliary buoyancy members 2, 3 pivotally mounted for movement from a position in or on the body during land travel to a position outward of the vehicle body when floating. Levers 6 actuated hydraulically by piston/cylinder 10, 11 move the auxiliary bouyancy members in a manner such that they are continuously adjustable relative to the vehicle body in all operative floating positions. Each angle lever 6 is mounted on a fulcrum 7 on the vehicle body with its ends interconnecting the buoyancy member and the piston/cylinder. Auxiliary drive screws 13, 14 are provided in the auxiliary buoyancy members for control during floating, the drive to the screws being effected by splined shafts 19 of adjustable length.
