Abstract
1351678 Chloroalkylcarbamoyl chlorides BADISCHE ANILIN- & SODA-FABRIK AG 31 Aug 1971 [1 Sept 1970] 40509/71 Heading C2C Alpha-chloroalkylcarbamoyl chlorides having the general formula where R<SP>1</SP> and R<SP>2</SP>, which may be the same or different, represent aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radicals and where the R<SP>2</SP> radicals may each denote a hydrogen atom or together form a carbocyclic ring; are prepared by reacting a Schiff base having the general formula (II) with phosgene. The mole ratio of phosgene to Schiffbase (II) is preferably from 1 : 1 to 1À5 : 1 and the reaction may be carried out in an inert organic solvent.
