Abstract

1351278 Presses L SCHULER GmbH 9 Feb 1973 [10 Feb 1972] 6456/73 Heading B3H [Also in Divisions B5 and F2] An overload protection device for a press comprises a reservoir 2 of pressurized liquid adapted to transmit force from a press drive 3-6 to a press ram 1, and a pressure relief valve 23 normally held closed by hydraulic counter pressure in chamber 18, but arranged when excess pressure in the reservoir opens it to open a second valve 27 which releases the counter pressure. A pump 9 supplies counter pressure for both valves.
