Abstract

1400682 Fluid-pressure servomotor systems ALBERT HANDTMANN 17 Jan 1973 [25 Feb 1972] 2364/73 Heading G3P [Also in Divisions F1 and F2] To control the output of a vane-type pump 1 feeding an hydraulic or pneumatic motor 39 from a reservoir 13 a cam ring 7 is movable by pistons 14, 15 to which pressure is applied from conduits 10, 11, the piston 15 being biased by a compression spring 18. In accordance with pressures p1, p2 in chambers 28, 29 of a regulating device 17 a spooltype valve-member, or "slide", 20 either closes a conduit 26 or renders it in communication with the conduit 10 or the conduit 11 by way of a conduit 22 or 24, the chamber 29 being connected by a conduit 42 serving a manometer 41 to the output side of a pressure-regulating valve 37, which produces a pressure differential p1 - p2. The slide is biased by compression springs F1, F2 acting on a pin 34 and plunger 35. When the pressure p2 overcomes the force of the spring F2 the plunger loses contact with the pin and the spring load on the slide is thus reduced to give the pressure p1 in the chamber 28 greater influence.
