Abstract
1341232 Delivering sheets; cutting and folding apparatus IZDATELSTVO "IZVESTIA" SOVETOV DEPUTATOV TRUDYASCHIKHSYA SSSR 10 March 1971 6493/71 Heading B8R The printed web issuing from a rotary printing press is longitudinally folded at 12, cut into sheets at 8, folded at 13 and the product selectively delivered to stacker bins 18 and 19. The folded sheets are deflected to a selected bin by a switch 14 which directs the sheets to one of a pair of S-flys 15 and 16. The switch may be set to deflect a similar or different number of sheets to each bin. Completed stacks are removed from the bins on carriages 35 supplied on chain conveyers 32 associated with each bin. The sides and bottom surfaces of the bins are slotted to permit passage of the carriages therethrough. The completed stacks are released from the bins by pivoting of spring biased flaps 31. Stacks from each bin are brought into vertical alignment with vertically travelling carriages 39 on chain conveyer 37 and the combined stacks are brought to a position above a final receiver 40 where a comb 42 removes them from the carriage. A trap door device 43 allows the combined stacks to drop into receiver 40.
