1340390 Push-button switches; indicators LICENTIA PATENTVERWALTUNGSGmbH 20 May 1971 [21 May 1970 29 May 1970 15 Oct 1970] 16086/71 Heading H1N An electric switch adapted for alternative illuminated indicator assembly, comprises an integral block 10, Fig. 1, with a cover 11 which may be translucent and has switching contacts 13, 15 and contacts 22 for the lamp 21 in separate chambers 12, 20. In the particular embodiment there are two switch chambers 12, one on each side of a central lamp chamber 20, each switch chamber having one attachment lug 29, Fig. 3, for a screw 28 adapted to engage the rear of a mounting panel (31), Fig. 5 (not shown), the assembly being held to the panel by the lamp cover 11 which has a bayonet coupling 26 engageable within a corresponding recess 25 in the assembly whereby the panel is clamped between the cover 11 and the ends of the screws 28. Each switch chamber 12 contains a pair of fixed contacts 13 bridged by a movable contact 15 which is resiliently mounted on an operating slider 14 between compression springs 16, 17. Fixed contacts 13 may also be mounted in recesses 18 when a switch of the "normally closed" type is required. Slide-on cover plates (19), Figs. 9-12 (not shown), may also be provided for the chambers 12, 20, co-operating grooves and recesses (41), (44) being provided on the cover and block 10 respectively.
