Abstract

1340210 Weighing apparatus NIPPON JIDO FUKUROZUMEKI MFG CO Ltd 30 Dec 1970 [30 Dec 1969] 61788/70 Heading G1W [Also in Division B8] In apparatus for filling bags with powder to a predetermined weight (see Division B8), a filling nozzle 64 is connected through a linkage 114-116- 118-120 to one end of a pivotal scale beam 122 the other end of which carries a rod 128 supporting a weight 126 which is insufficient to balance the filled bag and having a collar 130 adapted to engage an auxiliary weight 132 which, with the weight 126, balances the filled bag. In operation, the right hand end of the beam 122 rises as the bag is filled so that a plate 134 is raised to activate a photo detector 136 which causes a main feed to the bag to be cut off, the bag then receiving only a dribble flow. As the beam rises further, the collar 130 engages the auxiliary weight 132 and a second photo detector 140 is activated to cut off the dribble flow. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1228870.
