Abstract

1,234,777. Shelving. TONKS (BIRMING- HAM) Ltd. 6 June, 1968 [15 Aug., 1967], No. 37492/67. Heading A4B. A shelf support comprises in combination an elongate channel section upright 13 for wall mounting having vertically spaced slots 14 and a pair of continuous, longitudinally extending ribs 17, and a bracket 18 or 23 provided with a hook portion 20 or 26 which selectively engages one of the slots 14 and a pair of shoulders disposed on opposite sides of the hook portion to bear on the ribs 17. The bracket may have side flanges 24. A hole 19 in the bracket may be fitted with a resilient grommet on which a glass shelf may rest. In another form the bracket (27, Fig..10) has a length equal to the width of a supported shelf. The free end of the bracket (27) may be fitted with a rubber or plastics moulding (31, Fig. 12) which engages over the front edge of a shelf.
