Abstract

1,230,448. Road surface drain covers. BRICKHOUSE FOUNDRY Ltd. 17 Oct., 1969 [6 Dec., 1968], No. 57957/68. Heading E1G. A road drain cover which can be raised on shims when the road is resurfaced comprises a removable grating 24 pivotally seated in an inner frame 16 which is telescopically mounted within a road-embedded outer frame 11, the frame 11 being provided with four corner seating recesses 15 for a range of height-adjusting shims 26a .. d. The frame 11 is also provided with three wall recesses 17 for serrated locking wedges 18.
