Abstract

1,226,038. Packaging coins. MILLIKEN INDUSTRIALS CORP. 14 Oct., 1968 [16 Oct., 1967], No. 48658/68. Heading B8C. In a method of heat shrinking a heat-shrinkable film around a roll of coins, a film-wrapped roll of coins is delivered to a source of heat to shrink the film about the coins the roll of coins being rotated while being delivered to the source of heat. As shown, the rolls of coins 10 are delivered from a wrapping machine via a shoot 12 to an endless conveyer and between the rotatable rollers 14, the rolls 10 then being conveyed between guide plates 42 to an oven 16 wherein the film is evenly shrunk about the coins. The compact packages 18 of coins are delivered to a shoot which in turn delivers the packages to automatic boxing or bagging apparatus.
