Abstract

1,212,317. Photographic processing apparatus. E. PULS. May 15, 1969 [May 28, 1968], No.24759/69. Heading G2A. Photographic processing apparatus for developing printing plates has a conveyer belt 13, a plurality of rollers e.g. 18, for distributing the developer, and means for mounting the rollers for rotation in a direction opposite to the direction of travel of the conveyer belt and for axial movement in a direction transverse to the conveyer belt. As shown, a crank disc 56 rotated by a motor 58 is coupled to one end of a crank arm 53, the other end of the crank arm being coupled to a lever 50 which is pivoted on a shaft 51. A groove 49 in the free end of lever 50 accommodates a slide ring 48 which is rotatably mounted on a yoke 46 coupled via a bearing 45 to the end of a roller shaft 34. The rollers are rotated by a chain drive through a chain wheel 32. The developer is directed as a spray from nozzles (63) Fig.1 (not shown) on to the felt covered surface of the first roller. After development, the plate is fed through a spray washing tank (5).
