Abstract
1,209,945. Colour photographic material. FILMFABRIK WOLFEN VEB. Oct. 31, 1967, No.49455/67. Heading G2C. Multi-layer colour photographic material comprises (i) a silver halide emulsion layer containing a non-diffusing magenta colour coupler of formula (wherein R 1-3 are each H, alkyl, aryl, OH, alkoxy, phenoxy NO 2 , amino, alkylamino, arylamino, acylamino, halogen, carboxy, carbalkoxy, sulphonic or sulphonamide; R 4 is H, alkyl, aryl, hydroxyalkyl, alkoxyalkyl, hydroxyaryl, alkoxyaryl, aryloxyaryl, stearoyl, myristoyl, alkyl-or arylsulphonyl; R 5 is H, -SO 3 H or -N=N-R 6 ; and R 6 is optionally substituted aryl) and (ii) a compound of formula (whereinRis alkyl, alkenyl, alkoxy, polyalkyleneoxy, (carboxy) alkylene or (carbalkoxy) alkylene, or a residue thereof; Y is H, alkyl, alkoxy, carboxy, carbalkoxy or a residue thereof; Z is H, Na, Li, K or NH 4 ). Compound (ii) which decreases the blue and red absorption of the magenta dye image, is incorporated in any layer of the material before exposure or after development, in an amount of 10-100 wt. % based on the weight of colour coupler.
