Abstract

1,209,545. Multi-colour rotary offset presses. HARRIS-INTERTYPE CORP. 5 Nov., 1968 [15 Nov., 1967]. No. 52310/68. Heading B6C. In the machine shown and described in Specification 1,117,973, the control panel 160 and associated means for effecting the printing of progressive proofs is replaced by photo-electric and solenoid mechanism which detects holes in punched tape or holes in punched cards and initiates operation of the printing units accordingly. Counter means are built into the machine in order that predetermined numbers of proofs are printed automatically at any one or plurality of units.
