Abstract

1,206,519. Stencilling apparatus. FRITZ BUSER A.G. MASCHINENFABRIK. 26 Sept., 1968 [26 Sept., 1967; 20 Aug., 1968], No. 45845/68. Heading B6C. Material to be printed on is carried by moving blanket 3 between a rotating cylindrical screen 1 and an impression cylinder located beneath screen 1 and a pivot-mounted squeegee system forces ink through the screen 1. Ink flows from inside tube 4 and is applied to the screen 1 by squeegee 6, then is forced through it by squeegee 5. When the printing machine of which the screen 1 is part is stopped the squeegee system is pivotted 180 degrees about its mount 10, in the direction 12, and the ink which was being applied by squeegee 6 is held between squeegee 6 and nose 7, which now form a trough, and flows through bores 8 back into tube 4. Blanker 3 may carry material to be printed on, such as fabric, through a number of printing stations, each with a screen 1. A single squeegee may be used in place of squeegees 5 and 6, in which case it is adjustable angularly in its working position.
