Abstract

1,205,043. Laminated sign material. G. A. SHANKLAND Ltd. 18 Oct., 1968 [19 Oct., 1967], No. 47598/67. Heading B5N. [Also in Division G5] A laminate, disclosed in connection with sign-making (see Division G5), comprises a layer 1 of stove-enamelled aluminium, a layer 2 of foamed rubber or neoprene, a layer 3 of contact adhesive, and a protective strippable paper backing web 4. Letters are stamped from the laminate, but are held in place by a strippable adhesive tape 6. In use the letters are adhered by layer 3 to a backing of glass or sheet steel.
