A display element 2 (which may bear advertising matter, or resemble an article) is pivoted to and supported by an element 1 bearing a pressure-sensitive adhesive 10 for fixing to a support. As described, trunnions 4 are held in slots 5 in a sheet 6 glued between pieces 6, 7. Adhesive layer 10 is protected by a strippable sheet 11. The device is used as a "self-flapper" in shops.
