Abstract
1,201,943. Photographic colour couplers. FERRANIA S.p.A. Aug.25, 1967 [Aug.30, 1966], No.39191/67. Heading G2C. [Also in Division C2] A photographic silver halide emulsion containing one or more coupler compounds having the general formula: - wherein R represents a coupling residue R<SP>1</SP> represents a C 4-20 branched alkyl group and n is 1 or 2. Examples are given in which the above coupler compounds are used in the form of a dispersion and added to a silver chlorobromide emulsion. Couplers specified are of the 1-hydroxy-2-naphthamido and benzoylacetyl types.
