Abstract
1,194,762. Monoazo dyes. KONISHIROKU PHOTO INDUSTRY CO. Ltd. 25 March, 1968 [23 March, 1967], No. 14302/68. Heading C4P. [Also in Division G2] The invention comprises monoazo dyes of formula wherein X is a C 1-5 alkyl or alkoxy group or a halogen atom, R is a C 12-30 aliphatic hydrocarbon radical and M is a H or alkali metal atom or ammonium group. The dyes are used as colour couplers in photographic compositions (.see Division G2). The dyes are prepared by coupling diazotized 3-amino- 6 -hydroxy .benzenesulphonic acid with an appropriately substituted pyrazolone.
