Abstract
1,201,248. Remotely - operated fastenings. LICENTIA PATENT - VERWALTUNGS, G.m.b.H. 10 Nov., 1967 [12 Nov., 1966], No. 51203/67. Heading E2A. [Also in Division H1] To adjust the action of one tripping member, e.g. a bimetallic strip 2 without effecting the action of a second tripping member 7, e.g. of an electromagnetic tripping device, a pivoted lever 10 is mounted so that it, together with its axis 11, may be turned about a fixed axis 13. At, or in the vicinity of the axis 13, the second tripping member 7 and a transmission lever 16 bear on the lever 10 when the lever 16 is about to release a latch (not shown), e.g. of a circuitbreaker. The axis 13 is the pivotal axis of a lever 12 on which the lever 10 is pivoted. The lever 12 is biased by a spring 20 against an adjustable abutment 19. The lever 16 bears on a surface 15 on the lever 10 and when electromagnetic tripping occurs, the end of the lever 16 slips off the end of the lever 10 so that the armature 5 may serve as a striker for separating the circuit-breaker contacts after the latch has been released by the end 18 of the lever 16.
