Abstract
1,200,428. Emptying dust bins into refuse vehicles. SOC. SOVEL VEHICULES ELECTRIQUES INDUSTRIELS. 22 May, 1969 [22 May, 1968], No. 26100/69. Heading B8E. A dustbin 3, Fig. 1, is supported for emptying by arms 11 on a cradle 7, and is raised and tipped into a refuse vehicle 1 by arms 4, which are turned about pivots 5 on the vehicle by rams 6. As the rams 6 are extended the cradle rises substantially vertically, guided by pins 9 and slots 10. When the bottom of the slots 10 abut the pins 9 further pivotal movement of the arms 4 swings the bin about the pins 9 into the position shown in dotted lines. The mouth of the bin is inside the vehicle body before the tipping movement begins.
