Abstract

1297152 Titanium base alloy IMPERIAL METAL INDUSTRIES (KYNOCH) Ltd 8 Sept 1970 [24 Sept 1969] 47049/69 Heading C7A A titanium base alloy comprises:- Al 2À5-6À5%#}Al + Sn/3 = 4À5-6À5% Sn 0-12% Hf 0À5-5% Si 0À05-0À5% Zr 2-7% and Mo 0-2% the balance, apart from impurities, being Ti. The alloys may be solution treated at 1050‹C for 1 hour, air cooled, aged at 550‹C for 24 hours and then air cooled. USE:-Aircraft engine components.
