Abstract
1,181,211. Alloys. JESSOP-SAVILLE Ltd. Feb.8, 1967 [Feb.9, 1966], No.5598/66. Heading C7A. Nb containing alloys consisting, by weight, of C 0À02 - 0À5% Mo 0À1 - 10% Ta 5 - 30% W 8 - 30% Hf 0À1 - 10% Zr 0À1 - 5% V 0 - 5% Ti O - 10% Rare earths (incl. Sc and Y) 0 - 5% B 0 - 1% Be 0 - 2% Si 0 - 2% U 0 - 5% Nb and impurities (e. g. 0 2 up to 0À2%, N 2 up to 0À1%)-balance, are coated at 1200‹ - 1400‹C., or solution-treated at 1500‹ - 1900‹ C. Ageing may be allowed to take place during service or may be effected at 1200‹ -1400‹ C. before service.
