Abstract

1297084 False twist spindles CHAVANOZ SA 23 June 1970 30524/70 Heading DID A magnetic false twist spindle comprises two annular magnets 1, 2 mounted in a hollow support 3 made of magnetic material, a single driving roller 4 also being mounted in the support. The annular magnets 1, 2 are mounted in the same magnetic sense with their common axis coincedent or parallel with the roller axis and with the north pole of one magnetic and the south pole of the other magnets adjacent the periphery of the roller. A false twist spindle is held in frictional contact with the roller by the magnets. The annular magnets may be fitted with ring pole pieces 10, 11.
