Abstract

A conveyer roller shell 1 is secured on its shaft 3 by elastic rings 4 occupying the annular space between the members, each of them being mounted between two clamping discs 5, 6 which can be drawn together by axial screws 7 to cause radial expansion of the ring 4 to grip the shell and shaft. As shown, the discs 5, 6 are free, but the disc 6 may be permanently secured to the shell or shaft.
