Abstract

1308019 False twist tubes HEBERLEIN & Co AG 15 May 1970 [21 May 1969] 23761/70 Heading DID A false twist tube has a partially non- magnetic jacket 4 provided with tubular portions 1 projecting from either side thereof, has on each side of its centre separate annular portions 7, 7' of magnetic material. The twist tube has two magnetic poles facing each of the annular magnetic matial portions to hold it against supporting rollers. The annular portions 7, 7' may consist of sets of iron discs. The jacket can comprise a titanium-aluminiumvanadium alloy and a tungsten carbide twist locking pin 3. The twist tube can be held by permanent horseshoe magnet(s) having 2 or 4 poles.
