Abstract
1294181 Reciprocating pumps DANFOSS A S 16 Feb 1970 [17 Feb 1969] 7366/70 Addition to 1289500 Heading F1A A radial piston pump comprises a plurality of pump units a, b, c each comprising a pair of cylinder blocks 16, 17 rotated by a common shaft 10, the cylinder blocks 16, 17 being biased into engagement with housing portions 1, 3, 5 and 7 formed with distributing ports 29-32 for communicating with cylinder ports 20, and the pistons engaging eccentric tracks 24. The pump units may be arranged in series or parallel with a common outlet, Fig.2 (not shown), or separate outlets. As shown, pump unit b is of larger capacity than units a and c, and its track 24 is of opposite eccentricity to those of units a and c, gearing being arranged between the eccentricityadjusting screws 28 of the tracks so that the track of unit b moves in the opposite sense to those of units a and c, Fig.3 (not shown). The units of a two-unit pump, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), have separate outlets and a common inlet. A leakage-collecting passage 50 inter-connects the pump units.
