Abstract
1302163 Reciprocating pumps MACTAGGART SCOTT & CO Ltd R C RUSSELL and R BIRD 15 Oct 1971 [24 Oct 1970] 50628/70 Heading F1A In a radial cylinder pump comprising a plurality of stationary cylinders 13 mounted in a casing 12 and having spring-loaded pistons 14 engaging a rotatable eccentric 57 via bearing 58, a non-return delivery valve 20a in each piston is loaded by a spring 21 and controls flow from the cylinder to an outlet manifold 38 via passages 24, 23, cylinder groove 22 and passages 25, 36 and 37, a poppet-type suction valve 43 being mounted in each cylinder. The cylinders are secured in the casing by a bayonet coupling comprising cylinder projections 51 engaging casing recesses 52. Eccentrics of opposite eccentricity to eccentric 57 are mounted on either side of eccentric 57, Fig.1 (not shown). The suction valve body 40 is secured by a set screw 53.
