Abstract
1288038 Detergent granules containing polyphosphates ALBRIGHT & WILSON Ltd 27 Oct 1969 [28 Oct 1968] 50978/68 Heading C5D A dishwashing detergent composition comprises granules having a specific density of from 1À0 to 1À35 gms./cc. and comprising 35 to 55% by wt. of an anhydrous inorganic polyphosphate builder salt, up to 30% by wt. of an active chlorine compound, 15 to 25% by wt. of an alkali metal silicate, 0À5 to 1À5% by wt. of a wetting agent and from 5 to 25% by wt. of water and has a (P 2 O 5 + SiO 2 )/(Na 2 O as silicate) weight ratio of 5À7 to 7À5 : 1. The active chlorine compound is a chlorinated phosphate, a chlorinated cyanurate or a mixture thereof e.g. a mixture of chlorinated trisodium phosphate and sodium or potassium dichloroisocyanurate. The wetting agent may be ethylene oxide condensates of fatty alcohols and alkyl phenols; sodium, potassium and magnesium salts of toluene and xylene sulphonic acids.
