Abstract

1287378 Tilting cabs VAN DOORNES AUTOMOBIELFABRIEKEN NV 11 Jan 1971 [26 Feb 1970] 1189/71 Heading B7B A lever 1, for example the gear change rod, which projects through the floor 7 of a tiltable vehicle cabin has a part spherical portion 4 which is urged by a spring 10 into engagement with a complementary surface of a bearing 5 fixed to the cabin floor. The spring 10 is carried by a support 9 mounted on a frame member 8 and its free end is positioned in an aperture 11 below the surface 4. The upper surface (12) (Fig. 3, not shown) of the aperture 11 against which the spring bears is part spherical. On tilting the cab the cabin floor and bearing 5 move along the length of the lever (Fig. 2, not shown).
