Abstract

1287033 Proofing against fire CHEMISCHE FABRIK PFERSEE GmbH 19 Jan 1970 [8 Feb 1969] 2518/70 Heading DIP Fabrics containing natural or regenerated cellulose, e.g. cotton, are given a washresistant flameproofing by impregnation with an aqueous solution which may be at pH 5.5-8.5 and containing tris-aziridinyl phosphine oxide (APO), cyanamide and at least one ammonium salt of phosphoric, sulphamic, nitric or sulphuric acid, followed by drying and optional condensation of the impregnants by heating, e.g. at 145-165‹C. The solution may contain 80-200 g/l APO, at least 2% by wt. ammonium salt and at least 1% by wt. cyanamide.
