1280758 X-ray apparatus N V RABODZEI E M LJUBIMOV M N NADOBNIKOV and A A KROKHIN 30 Nov 1970 56763/70 Headings H4F and H5R In a closed circuit TV X-ray microscope having a shielded specimen chamber 1 provided with a TV camera 5 and cross-wires 20, the specimen 6 is supported in the axis 2 of the X- ray beam by a manipulator 8 which is mounted on a wall 9 of the chamber, which wall is movable in its own plane in guides 10. The wall 9 itself has a rectangular aperture 11 covered by a transversely movable slab 12 through an aperture in which the manipulator 8 adjustably projects, whereby the specimen may be moved parallel to the beam, and in two perpendicular directions in a plane perpendicular to the beam. In a further embodiment (Fig. 2, not shown) the movable portion of the wall 9 is also mounted for rotation about the axis of the manipulator, whereby the specimen may be moved in a pair of perpendicular directions in a plane making an arbitrary angle with the beam axis.
