A structural member comprises a pair of flanges 11, 12 relatively inclined longitudinally, parallel in transverse section and welded to a longitudinal web 13. The web is connected at the mid-points of the flanges and is normal to the flanges. The end surfaces of the member are parallel and normal to one flange. Two members may be joined by bolting together plates welded to the ends of the members.
