Abstract

1,250,055. Valves. MALCOLM MARTIN (ENGS.) Ltd. 10 Feb., 1970 [15 March, 1969], No. 13737/68. Heading F2V. Relief valve comprises a seat member D slidably mounted in a valve body E, and a spring-loaded valve member H having a sealing part C engaging the seat. Normally, the valve member engages an abutment surface K so that spring loading pressure on the part C is relieved. On excess pressure occurring at the inlet 6, the seat moves along with the valve member until arrested by a flange 4, whereafter the pressure is relieved. The stem of the valve member slides as shown in a screwed spring adjusting block H.
