Abstract

1,248,193. Micro-scope slides. RICHARDSONMERRELL Inc. Jan. 23, 1970 [Feb. 10, 1969], No.3501/70. Heading G2J. A multiple well micro-scope slide 10 comprises a flat rectangular plate of glass or other transparent material such as polystyrene in one surface of which square wells or depressions 20 are defined by a longitudinal rib 16 and transverse ribs 18, the wells 20 being open at that side adjacent an edge of the plate, and that surface of the plate opposite each well is flat. Each well bottom 22 is flat and lies in a place parallel to said flat surface of the plate. Dimensions of the plate and wells are given. Two examples are given of the use of the slide as a multiple well tissue culture slide.
