Abstract

1,130,955. Running loops. L. A. CLUTTERBUCK. 31 Jan., 1967 [25 March, 1966], No. 13373/66. Heading D1T. The device shown in Fig. 1 is used to form a running loop and comprises an elliptical ring 1 having on one side an arm 9 extending upwardly and across the ring, and on its other side a further arm 11 extending upwardly and across the ring. The rope 4 has one end secured to the ring 1, in any suitable manner, and the other end of the rope passes through the tunnel defined by the arms 9 and 11. There may be more than the two arms 9, 11 provided that they are on alternate sides of the ring 1. The rung 1 may be any suitably shaped base member having an eye to which one end of the rope 4 can be secured.
